Who “we” are
We is me, I’m Tyler.
I’ve been lucky enough to take part in some truly awesome work in my career up to this point. From my college job with the University of Minnesota’s Campus Transportation group tweaking Gopher Football Gameday plans, I got my first taste of what it takes to get the masses in and out of an event safely and efficiently.
Then I spent the next 8 years as a traffic signal timing consultant, where I retimed and implemented more than 700 signals over 150+ corridors across the Midwest. In that time I helped retime large portions of Minneapolis and aided in updating those plans for the US Bank Stadium event plans, partook in regional design-build detour signal timing optimization, and retimed the City of Inglewood’s system (including Sofi Stadium’s event plans). Once again I found myself drawn to moving large surges of people and had the signal timing toolbox to do it well.
Afterwards I moved to Illinois for a few years, where I managed the Traffic Signals group for the City of Chicago. Balancing all of those bizarre multi-legged intersections, large amounts of traffic, and urban/non-motorized needs posed a challenge, but my past experience was perfectly aligned and sharpened from my time there. In my time there I signed off on more than 120 signal designs and 300 signal timing plans.
Now I’m back in Minnesota and am serving as the County Traffic Engineer for Dakota County. I still miss those unique timing problems, and this consulting operation serves to scratch that itch to work on niche, weird traffic problems.
